The Tanakh was written in Biblical Hebrew, not in code. However, some have pointed out that it contains a sort of code, through words that come to light when you examine every second Hebrew letter, or third, or fourth, etc. A team led by Doron Witztum has published articles and books on this subject.

The source code can be written in a high or low level language or in a mixture. Most source code today is written in high-level language because it is easier to maintain and more portable. However, sometimes speed-critical sections of source code are written in low-level language such as assembly.
