Does anyone know? The marking on this shotgun only says, "Excelsior 77 Super". It is a beautiful shotgun, double barrell 20 guage with true wood stock and some engraving. Just trying to find out who made it and about how old it may be.
$25 to $100, depending on condition.
Excelsior shotguns were mfg. in Europe by Liegeoise D'Armes a Feu. The Excelsior name was also used in the US by Iver Johnson Arms and Cycle works
Despite the name, it is not a machine gun. Value seldom exceeds 100 USD
Depending on condition and wether or not it has shell ejectors the value would be betwenn $500-$2600.
The address of the Excelsior Library is: 343 Third Street, Excelsior, 55331 1878
Hang it over a fireplace.
