The Texans won. RoyBig writes: The Texans dd NOT win, they were all killed. The Mexican Army was later defeated, but they WON at the Alamo.
The Alamo.
All the defenders died, and the Mexicans burned the bodies.
The battle of the Alamo wasn't successful all the Texans where killed including James Bowie and Davy Crockett, but it was a reason to try harder to win the next battle.
Well, the date when the Mexicans stopped bombardment and fully attacked the Alamo with the Texans in it was the 6th of March in 1836. The whole battle was February 23, 1836-March 6,1836.
None. All the Alamo defenders were from human mothers.
Houston was constantly recruiting men as he was keeping one step ahead of Santa Anna. Texans rallied in greater numbers after their fellow Texans were massacred at the Alamo and at Goliad. Houston finally turned on the Mexicans, defeating them in only 18 minutes at San Jacinto. In exchange for his life, Santa Anna deeded all rights to Texas to the Texans.
Texans had Texas before the U.S. got Texas and if you ask any Texan it was not the State of Texas that joined the Union but the Union that wisely joined with Texas. Before Texans had Texas it was Mexicans who lost Texas to a bunch of rambunctious and wild Texans such as Sam Huston and other Americans such as Davey Crockett and Jim Bowie and Kit Carson. Remember the Alamo? Actually Davey, Jim and Kit all died at the Alamo as that battle was lost to General Santa Ana. But that victory for Mexico ultimately became their defeat as Texans used the loss at the Alamo as a battle cry towards victory.
It is estimated that approximately 250 Texans died at the Battle of the Alamo. Historians believe that approximately 600 Mexican soldiers died at the battle, bringing the total casualties to approximately 850.

Davy Crocket went to Texas to help the Texans in their fight for independence from Mexico. He led a company of 65 American volunteers, mostly from his home state of Tennessee. They arrived at the Alamo and joined its garrison shortly before it was besieged by the Mexican army. Since Crocket and several of his men were skilled marksmen they contributed significantly to the defensive efforts; allowing the to hold out for several days despite being heavily outnumbered. However; on March 6th, 1836 the Mexican army succeeded in overwhelming the defenders; and all of them, including Crocket were killed. Though the Texans lost the battle of the Alamo it gave their General Sam Huston enough time to organize and train his army, allowing him to defeat the Mexicans at the Battle of San Jacinto on April 22 1836.
The Alamo was originally a Spanish mission called Mission San Antonio de Valero. It was originally built as a place where local Native Americans could be educated. It was built of adobe and stone. The mission was secularized in 1793, and then abandoned. The Alamo became a fort under the Mexicans. It was surrendered to the Texans in 1845.Santa Anna put it under siege in February 1846.In the subsequent battle, possibly all of the Texans, about 260, were killed, along with 400 to 600 Mexican soldiers. The Texans later used it as a fort.It eventually became a grocery store for a while, but is now a museum. There is a link below.
