Columbus did not find North America. He did find Hispaniola in 1492, but it was the Pilgrims in 1620 where the idea of Thanksgiving is to have started. This is a 128 years later.Thanksgiving is a remembrance of the Pilgrims at Plymouth giving thanks for the first harvest in the New World which was aided by local Native Americans. Pilgrims landed at Plymouth in 1620, 13 years AFTER the establishment of Jamestown, Va It was also over 120 years after Columbus fumbled into America.
when, 1621. not sure what month. where, i have no idea.
Indians are indigenous people. (There is some discussion that the term Indians for the people of North America actually came from a misunderstanding and mispronounciation of the word "indigians"--- and not from an idea that the Americas were actually India.) Indigenous means that they were the native people-- and really only means that they had been in America for many generations. Puritans were English people who emigrated to North America. The English government was actually happy to see them go to America where they would cause less trouble, and begin development in America.
The Americans got the idea of using horses for hunting, traveling, etc. after the Spanish invaded America. The Spanish inspired the Americans to use the horses in the ways listed above. America found a quick way to travel, or transport things when horses came into use in America.
Socialism did not play a role in the Pilgrims' first year in America. The Pilgrims were a group of religious separatists who arrived in Plymouth, Massachusetts in 1620. They established a communal system of agriculture, where each person worked for the benefit of the entire community. However, this system of communal work resembled more of a religious and communal practice rather than a political ideology like socialism.
A united America was needed.

A united America was needed.
definitely not! They pilgrims learned to fertilize the soil with fish remains from Squanto. He helped establish relations with the Wampanoag Indians. Conditions in the colony began to improve with Swuanto. -B- the pilgrims were failing to get enough food when they came to America... the natives helped them by showing them corn and how to raise crops in the rocky new England soil... the pilgrims were also not used to the MA weather and had no idea what to do,.. so they usually sat around idly. The natives gave all their knowledge about surviving in new England to the pilgrims and in return the pilgrims killed them off.
Alexander Hamilton and it was a good idea because it made a line of credit.
