Communist theory means envisioning of a social system in which people live and work in self-sufficient, self-reliant communes. But living as communes is not a new thing or idea. Through the ages, people have lived in communes, that too in well organized communes. But aristocracy, feudalism and industrial revolution somewhat displaced this ancient social structure, therefore when Karl Marx and Freidrich Engels came up with a similar but more politiaclly stable theory in the modern age they began to be considered as reinventors of communism.
