Because WW2 was started by Germany's invasion of it's neighbors, and it's attempt at world domination. And it should be pointed out that the Allies virutally bent over to prevent a war. They gave in to virtually any demand that Germany could reasonably think about making.

∙ 13y agoThey didn't blame anyone, they wanted moire power and land, as they had just started as a new country. They were previously called Prussia. They had a war with France over Alsace-Lorraine, which was the starting to the lead up of the war.

On 2nd September 1939 the British Prime minister Neville Chamberlain sent Hitler an ultimatum: withdraw German troops from Poland or war will be declared.
Germany ignored the ultimatum, so on 3rd September 1939 Britain and France declared war on Germany.
