The problem here is that The British conspired with The French and The Russians that started World War One. It had nothing to do with The Assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand , It had everything to do with economics and Germany was a power house in Pre World War One. Now as far as The Treaty of Versailles well think of the Great Depression in The United States in the 1930's well it was 10 fold in Germany if that helps.

∙ 12y agoif i understand this question correctly, i believe the treaty of Versailles hurt the German public as many of them were homeless and i also believe it hurt the German leader as they couldn't have many soldiers, and if they were to be invaded they wouldn't have much of a chance.

∙ 14y agothey had to pay back an unrealistically large sum of money to the allied forces. The Treaty of Versailles pissed off the Germans and it could be argued that it provoked the Germans to start WW2.

∙ 11y agoGermany had to accept all the blame for starting WWI in a 'war guilt' clause; it should pay Ł6600million reparations; the army was cut to 100,000 men; the navy could have only 6 battleships; it was not allowed to build aeroplanes, submarines or tanks; It mustn't keep troops in the Rhineland; allied troops would be stationed there for 15 years; all ist colonies were taken away and given to the Allies; It lost land to France, Belgium, Denmark, and Poland. Germany was eager to regain its lost territories, and its lost glory and pride.
