Walter the Penniless and Peter the Hermit
Byzantine Emperor
The People's Crusade was a prelude to the First Crusade that took place in 1096. It was led by Peter the Hermit and consisted of a large army of peasants and commoners who set out for the Holy Land. However, the crusade ended in disaster as the ill-prepared and undisciplined army faced numerous hardships and was swiftly defeated by the Seljuk Turks in Anatolia. Only a small fraction of the original army survived to reach Jerusalem.
the crusades between salah ad din and king Richard I started in 1109
The People's Crusade was only one part of the First Crusade, when paupers who were inspired by the preachings of various priests and monks tried to make a joint pilgrimage to Jerusalem. Since they needed less preparing, they departed before the main crusade, but were mostly crushed when they reached Turkey. Some surviving members lingered in Constantinople and joined the army of nobles, when they arrived.
The official date for the First Crusade was the 15th August 1096, (the date of the Feast of the Assumption). But, before this some unexpected armies of peasants and minor nobles left for Jerusalem, led by Peter the Hermit and Walter Sansavior, this became known as the Peoples Crusade. Unfortunately most of them were killed in a battle at Civetot. The main army of Crusaders reached what was known as Asia Minor in that time around April 1097, where they were joined by Peter the Hermit and the remains of the Peoples Crusade Army, (Walter Sansavior being one of those already killed).
because they were poor and needed money for themselves or they'll die otherwise
There was not a unified leader of the Muslims. The Muslim peoples were split into a number of different groups, and not one collective body. Leaders that were important in the First Crusade from the Muslim side would probably be Kilij Arslan and Danishmend.
Well apparently it is called the noble crusade because everyone who went on the first crusade and the noble crusade were noble
