IF you are talking about the third brake light it has a cover and you push a qtip with the end cut off into the holes on the side. They will pop open and you can remove them. A wire hanger will do the same thing.
If you are talking about the rear brake lights you first take the visible screw loose on the side. Then take the carpetiing back in the trunk and you will see some more bolts with nuts. Take the nuts off.
The last thing to do is pry the side of the taillight out because there is a pin holding it in. Wrap a screwdriver with a shop towel so you don't harm the paint.
After you get the side pried out, pull the whole assembly back and out of the rear of the car.
