It isn't feasible to convert from two wheel drive to four wheel drive.
Yes. You need a transmission and new front axel. I would just find one with 4x4.
my one friend gets 21mpg-25 with his 4x4 driven (normally). My other buddy has a 2wheel drive long box and he gets 24mpg-32mpg. Not bad for trucks that weigh 5k
NO it will not. The center shaft in the 2-wheel drive transmissions are shorter then the 4-wheel drive transmission cause there is no need for a transfur case on the 2-wheel drives.
Ford Explorers are either rear wheel drive , 4x4 ( that has a LOW RANGE ) for the transfer case , or all wheel drive ( which does not have a low range ) * up to the 2010 model year *
If from the same body style, yes.
The shaft inside the trans will have to be changed it is longer in a 2 wheel drive and the taIL SHAFT.
Need a diagram for 1997 dodge van drive belt installation
I have a 1999 dodge durango 4x4. oil was shooting out through a hose that came on the front axle I know that oil has
front drive shaft, how do you get the yoke out of the transfore case to replace the ceal?
if you are referring to locking hubs - there arent any. the mid sized Jeeps use a central axle disconnect system that seperates the center of the right hand half shaft for reduced drag in 2wheel drive mode.
Sounds like a bad transfer case....give more detail...does it lock into 4x4? Will it drive?
Yes it will as long as the ECU is from the same drive train (E.g. 4x4, 4x2 automatic, manual.)
