John Calvin is the father of Calvinism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Calvin)

However most of his ideas are built on the beliefs of St. Augustine, some say that Augustine is the father of reformed theology (calvinism)

John Calvin is considered the "father" of Calivnism. Calvin was very active in the religious circles releasing numerous papers, commentaries, and rewrites of Church procedures. From these changes and ideals began an emergance of a new fuel for Protestantism. This, in the end, led to Calvinism.
