God founded the 10 Commandments.

It is His Law. (emphasis of italics and bold font added by me)

Exodus 20:2255 The Lord said56 to Moses: "Thus you will tell the Israelites: 'You yourselves have seen that I have spoken with you from heaven.

Exodus 20:18 All the people were seeing42 the thundering and the lightning, and heard43 the sound of the horn, and saw44 the mountain smoking - and when45 the people saw it they trembled with fear46 and kept their distance.47 20:19 They said to Moses, "You speak48 to us and we will listen, but do not let God speak with us, lest we die."

God spoke to man his Law, known as the 10 commandments. All them who is of God follows God's Law.

God founded the Ten Commandments, and Moses delivered them to the people.

The Bible talks about the ancient Hebrews (who were slaves in Egypt) being lead out of Egypt and to the Promised Land (Israel). Before they entered the land of Israel God meet with Moses (who had leaded them) on behalf of the whole community. God gave Moses the Ten Commandments written on stone. They were:

1. Have no other Gods

2. Do not have any images of other Gods

3. Do not misuse the name of Yahweh your God

4. Remember the Sabbath (a one day rest each week)

5. Honour your parents

6. Do not murder

7. Do not commit adultery

8. Do not steal

9. Do not give false testimony against your neighbour

10. Do not covet

These principals were written in the Bible and later used by Christians. Many countries used the Bible and therefore the Ten Commandments had a great influence on many countries (including the USA).
