An angel. The account is found in Acts 12:6-10.
(Acts 12:1-7)... Peter was being kept in the prison...
The Bible does not say his name, yet Paul and Silas helped him to convert to Christianity after the earthquake freed them from their prison cells
in the bible the word "prison" means a separation from the spirit of god
I believe that there is only one Peter in the Bible, the Apostle Peter.
In the Bible both Peter and Andrew were real brothers.
(Acts 12:1-7)... Peter was being kept in the prison...
Paul mentioned prison, he was in prison, so was Peter. so the person Luke would be the person who wrote about Peter in prison and Paul wrote about himself (or the person wring the letter for him)
jesus
Yes, "freed" is a word. It is the past tense and past participle of the verb "free," which means to release from captivity or confinement.
they arrested them and had them locked away in jail but an angel came and freed them.
The Bible does not say his name, yet Paul and Silas helped him to convert to Christianity after the earthquake freed them from their prison cells
Harriet Tubman, because she freed slaves and in The Bible Moses freed people
Jesus was never in jail. There's a scene in the Passion of the Christ where he is imprisoned. The Bible however never mentions him being in jail of any kind.
A:No. Jesus appears not to have been arrested before his trial and crucifixion. It was the apostle Peter who, in Acts of the Apostles, was supposedly freed from prison by angels - twice.A hidden theme in Acts of the Apostles is a comparison between Peter and Paul, such that Peter always comes across as the more worthy apostle, so we will find quite a number of very similar miracles performed by both Peter and Paul, but in each case Peter's miracle was even more awe-inspiring than the miracle associated with Paul. Peter and the apostles were released from prison by an angel in Acts 5:19. Then in Acts 12:6-10, Peter was imprisoned between two soldiers and bound by two chains, but an angel came and freed him and then accompanied Peter from the prison. There was no doubt about the extent of divine assistance Peter received in his escapes. On the other hand, when Paul was released from prison, no angel came to him and the earthquake need not have been of divine origin.
You're probably thinking of Rhoda (Acts 12:13). According to the account, she was so excited to recognize Peter's voice that she ran to inform others of his presence at the gate rather than letting him in herself.
He was freed from prison in 1989 after serving 27 years of a life sentence.
