Who invented the camera obscura?

The "camera obscura" (dark chamber) was a technique for

projecting an image into a darkened space or container, using a

pinhole and later a lens. The technique was known to scholars of

ancient Greece, Arabia, India, and China, as early as the 5th

century BC.
