The first electric light was made in 1800 by Humphry Davy, an English scientist. He experimented with electricity and invented an electric battery. When he connected wires to his battery and a piece of carbon, the carbon glowed, producing light. This is called an electric arc.Much later, in 1860, the English physicist Sir Joseph Wilson Swan (1828-1914) was determined to devise a practical, long-lasting electric light. He found that a carbon paper filament worked well, but burned up quickly. In 1878, he demonstrated his new electric lamps in Newcastle, England.
Lewis Latimer invented the long lasting light bulb.
That is a light bulb, or any filament such as the one in a radiant electric fire.

it come from the energy source in the middle of the light bulb he clearly asked what type of energy is it?!
Filament is a thin part of incandescent bulb which is the source of electric light that electric current passes through and heated it until it produce light.

Heat and light.

Thomas Edison the year of 1879!!But before that Joseph Swan invented the first electric lightbulbSO HAHAHAHAHAHA I KNOW MORE THAN SOME1 THAT MIGHT BE OLDER THAN ME!
Electrical energy is converted into light and heat when electric current flows through the metal filament of a light bulb.
Joseph Swan invented the first electric vacuum light bulb with a carbon fibre filament. About a year later, Thomas Eddison invented a similar bulb. Swan had already got a patent for the bulb though, and sued Eddison for the patent rights. After that, the pair worked together and merged companies. Swan later improved the filament used in the bulbs, though Eddison continued to use an inferior filament for a while. Eddison's company was eventually to become the USA's General Electric. The first electric light bulb however, as unpractical as it was, was invented by Humphry Davy in 1809.
