Ilah is something you believe in as a god. For instance, some people believe in statues. They are their ilah. However, Allah is the one who created the world, us and everthig, and will ask for us after we die what we did when we were alive. Based on those definitions, Allah is an ilah, also. (Allah is ilah of Moslems) However, Islam tells Moslems to avoid ilahs other than Allah.
Only difference is the spelling.
Christians who speak Arabic as their native language call God Allah. Jews who speak Arabic as their native language call God Allah. It seems that Allah is, therefore, the simple translation of the word God into Arabic. As such, it seems quite appropriate to say that Muslims, Christians and Jews all agree that they worship God (when speaking English) or Allah (when speaking Arabic).
Now, that does not say that the three religions agree on everything. Jews, Christians and Muslims disagree about which texts are revealed and about who are the legitimate prophets. They disagree about a variety of details, but most theologians I've read agree that this disagreement about details is not the same thing as worshiping different gods.
"Allah" is the Arabic word for "God".
God...
Allah is the Arabic word for God. In Judaism, God made a covenant with the Jewish people.
Allah is the name of the Muslim god. The Christian god is just called god. Did you know Amen is an Arabic word? It means-Oh Allah, accept our prayers, but both Christians and Muslims use this word.
Israel has three different religions, jewish, christianity, and islam. The Islam worship their god Allah. The Christians worship God. And the Jews worship the messiah.
Allah is just an arabic way of saying God, If Selena Gomez belives in god (wich she does) then she belives in allah, she is a good christian. :')
Saudis are Muslims, and Muslims believe in god. They call him Allah. They believe that he is the same god Christian and Jewish people believe in. Except, Muslims don't believe that Jesus is the son of god, they think of him as a profit just like Mohammed.
god = ilaah الاه / rabb ربّ the God = Al'laah (Allah) الله Deity = aaliha الهة
Muslim isn't a language, but both Christian Arabic speakers and Muslim Arabic speakers refer to God as Allah.
because jesus and allah are enemies. ________________________________________ The answer above is not true. Allah (or God in English) is the same God in Judaism and Christianity and you find God is written as Allah in the Arabic Bible versions. Allah (or God) is the creator of Jesus so how they are enemies? Muslims can't be buried in Christian graves because the body should be facing the Kaaba (in Mecca) direction.
No, if you are a Christian, you believe God will forgive you of every sin you commit if you are willing to repent, confess your sin, and forsake the sin you committed. Allah has no part in the Christian religion.
In my opinion, yes Allah is simply the Muslim name for God and is identical to the Christian and Hebrew God, Is Allah not the god of Abraham also? Brand me a heretic for saying so but I'll stand by my knowledge unless God tells me I'm wrong.
