Dr. Daniel F malan was the Nationalist Prime Minister of South Africa from 1948 to 1954. Prior to this, as leader of the opposition "Purified National Party" (you can read that as 'Nazi" ) in 1940.he firmly rejected South Africa joining the Allies in WW 2. ( He was over-ruled in this). - One of his first acts as Prime Minister in 1948 was to lead the way to enforcement of Apartheid.

Did Dr Mulan start the apartheid?

White rule in South Africa existed long before the official policy of apartheid, with the civil freedom (including the ability to vote) of the African and Indian population being restricted. The system of apartheid (roughly translated as "separateness") was introduced following the election victory in 1948 of the Reformed National Party led by Dr Daniel Francois Malan. Apartheid legislation enforced segregation between the races.
