Fr. James Kokkavayalil is a catholic priest belonging to the Archdiocese of Chengnaserry of Syro Malabar Rite, Kerala, India. He was ordained to priesthood by Archbishop George Kochery, the Apostolic Nuncio of Zimbabwe on2nd January 2010, at the esteemed presence Archbishop Mar Joseph Powathil, Archbishop Mar Joseph Perumthottam and Bishop Mar Joseph Pathalil. Now he is working as the assistant vicar of St. Mary's Forane Church Kudamaloor, a famous pilgrim centre and native parish of the first Indian saint St. Alphonsa. He also holds the post of administrator to St. Alphonsa Public School and Junior College, an enterprise of the parish. He was born on 6th June 1982 at Nedumkunnam as the eldest son of Daisy and Joykutty Jacob.
