When was St. Zachariah born?

Catholic AnswerThe only thing we know about St. Zachariah, the father of St. John the Bapist, is that he was an old man when St. John was born. Back in that day, an old man would have been anyone over 40, so we can safely put his birth back to the first century A.D., say around 40 B.C. or a little earlier, but we do not have a date in the Bible, which is our only source of information.

No John the baptist was killed before the crucifixion. Mar 6:24 So she went out and said to her mother, "What shall I ask?" And she said, "The head of John the Baptist!" Mar 6:25 Immediately she came in with haste to the king and asked, saying, "I want you to give me at once the head of John the Baptist on a platter." Mar 6:26 And the king was exceedingly sorry; yet, because of the oaths and because of those who sat with him, he did not want to refuse her. No - they are not supposed to and the vast majority do not. It is known that a few do secretly but it is strictly condemend as they believe Birthday celebrations are actually rooted in paganism.
