Moses Ndiema Kipsiro is a 24 year-old Ugandan athlete who won two gold meddles in the 5,000m and 10,000m events at the 2010 Delhi Commonwealth Games. He belongs to the Sabiny ethnic group found in the Elgon Mountains that border Uganda and Kenya. This is the same high altitude plateau that produces strong distance athletes in Kenya. Kipsiro is reputed for his humility and soft-spokenness despite his successes. He is the best athlete Uganda has produced since John Akii-Bua.
