Michael Christopher Coke (born 12 March 1969), also known as Dudus, is an alleged Jamaican drug lord and the alleged leader of the multinational Shower Posse criminal enterprise which operates between three countries : Jamaica WI, USA, and Canada. Since 2009 he has been wanted by US authorities to answer to a criminal complaint concerning conspiracy to traffic illegal drugs and firearms. His extradition from Jamaica to the USA was blocked by the Jamaican Prime Minister, Bruce Golding on the ground that US authorities conducted an illegal wiretap on Mr. Coke's phone conversations. This action by the Prime Minister led to public outcry in Jamaica and also to the Prime Minister eventually conceding to the extradition request. Efforts to arrest Dudus led to gun battles between Jamaican security forces and supporters of Dudus where it is estimated that 76 people were killed in a matter of a few days.
