It would seem that you answered the question. No it does not work. That it may be possible to make it work by somehow adding equipment that is not even optional to the PS3 or the Headset does not mean it works on the PS3. It would not be plug and play of the best choice for a PS3 headset. Jury rigging something to make a product perform is not the same as "work on PS3"I'm wondering exactly the same thing. From my research I'm thinking it will....but you will need to use a USB soundcard. These vary in quality both in constrution and performance. Prices seem to range from £2.50 to around £12...you get what you pay for it seems. The card accepts the audio and microphone 3.5mm jacks from the headphones. The other end of the soundcard has the USB fitting which you plug into your PS3 via one of it's USB sockets. Now it does seem that the headphones in question are a very popular make so I am a little suprised that the question has not already been aswered.Hope this helps a bit, not a conclusive answer but at least you will now know you need a USB sound card if the headphones you choose have a 3.5mm jack plug as apposed to a USB plug......JohnRead more: Does_the_Creative_HS800_work_with_the_PS3
