For instance, a mention is made that Dracula is the "one who was betrayed by his brother" and Vlad is known to have been betrayed by his own brother, Radu the Handsome. Vlad's patronymic inspired Dracula. Bram Stoker came to hear about Vlad's reputation through a friend, Armin Vamberys conversations. Note: this is only speculation since there is no proof Bram and Armin ever discussed Vlad.
