Terms of a divorce decree are not legally binding for any lender. If both names remained on the mortgage at the time of foreclosure then both parties are responsible for any deficit and penalties that might be assessed in relation to the join debt.

Is a person responsible for paying liens on a house that has been foreclosed?

I believe that a lien on a property stays with the property, not with a person. The purchaser of the property will be responsible for any liens to get a clear title.

Does the Deed holder on a home have full ownership even if their name is not on the mortgage?

The grantee in the deed is the owner of the property. A person who does not own the property can agree to sign the mortgage and be responsible for paying for the property. If it is foreclosed then he does not own it. You cannot rent a property that you do not own.

Who do you sue if you were assaulted on a foreclosed property the foreclosed owner or bank who owns?

They aren't responsible, how about the person who told you to be there or the person who assaulted you. Maybe nobody. The bank is the legal owner of the property. The former owner has no rights to the property and therefore is not liable. But the first person you should sue is the person who assaulted you, unless they assaulted you in relation to trespassing on a foreclosed property, in which case, you have no case. Consult a Lawyer.

What happens to the owner of a mobile home during a foreclosure?

Real property is not actually owned until the property is paid for in full. A buyer of a mobile home loses all ownership rights to the property when it is foreclosed on. A resident/buyer loses ownership rights to the property and will have to vacate the premises within the length of time specified in the foreclosure action.

What happens if you do not pay your property taxes while getting ready to have house foreclosed?

You will no longer be responsible. The bank will have to worry about that after they foreclose your home.

Are you responsible for the mortgage on the property that was left to you as an inheritance?

You are only responsible for the mortgage if you are willing to accept the debt. If you are not willing to accept the debt you simply allow the property to be entered into probate and foreclosed on by the lender. You are not responsible for any monies owed regarding said property even if it was "willed" to you unless you choose to do so.

The current owner yes, not the one foreclosed on. (And the past owner owes the one that foreclosed for any tax that was due for the period that owner had it).
