Eric H. Holder Jr. is the current Attorney General of the United States. Holder was appointed to this position by Barack Obama on 2009 February 3. He is the first African American to hold the position. He was also the Deputy Attorney General of the United States from 1997 June 13 to 2001 January 20, when Bill Clinton was President.
