John the Baptist was Jesus' cousin, I know not of any other that is mentioned in The Bible.
Luke Chapter 1
5THERE was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth.
6And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.
7And they had no child, because that Elisabeth was barren, and they both were now well stricken in years.
13But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.
34Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?
35And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
36And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.
John the Baptist.
John the Baptist
John the Baptizer, the cousin of Jesus, prepared the way for Jesus. John's mother was Elizabeth, the virgin Mary's first cousin. Jesus referred to him as the same as Elijah who is prophesied to come before Jesus return the 2nd time to the Jews. For we read in Malachi 4:5 "Look, I am sending you the prophet Elijah before the great and dreadful day of the Lord arrives .
St. John the Baptist was Our Lord's Cousin, & a very Holy Prophet, who prepared His Way. He was beheaded by Herod Antipas, when he criticized him for taking Herodias away from his brother.
There is no way of telling how Michelangelo construed the face of Jesus.
John was a cousin of Our Lord and the person that announced his coming and prepared the way for his arrival. The event that John the baptist is also famous for is baptizing Jesus, a Nazarene, Son of God.
He was the forerunner. He came to prepared the way for Jesus Christ
Actually there was more than one.Two of the apostles, James and his brother John are Jesus first cousins. There is also another apostle named James, who was the son of Alphaeus, who was probably the brother of Joseph, Jesus adoptive father. This would make this second James also Jesus cousin. So there were possibly three postles who were Jesus cousins, both apostles named James, and the apostle John.Another cousin of Jesus was John the Baptist, who began preaching six months before Jesus began preaching. In this way, he prepared the people to receive Jesus. John the baptist was actually Jesus' second cousin.John 1:6-8, 15-28;Mark 3:13-19; Luke 6:12-16
If your talking about when jesus takes you home or at the end of the world the only way to heaven is through jesus christ he is the way, so the answer to both is you have to believe the jesus is the son of God who came down on this earth to save us from out sins.
Mark was the cousin of Barnabus:-Col 4:10 Aristarchus my fellow prisoner greets you, and Mark, the cousin of Barnabas (regarding whom you received commandments; if he comes to you, receive him),Or, to put it another way, Barnabus was Mark's uncle..Tradition has it that both Mary the mother of Jesus and Barnabus were twins, and that Mary was born first. This means Barnabus was the brother of Mary the mother of Jesus, and therefore that he was uncle to Mary's child Jesus.
"cousin" is a noun one way is, "I have a cousin." I am going to visit my cousin who lives in Holland.
There is no records of miracles done by John the Baptist, he is known for telling people to repent of their sins and be baptized.John did not perform miracles. He was but 'a voice crying in the wilderness- prepare the way of the Lord'. Although Jesus was his cousin, John was not a miracle doer but was a prophet preparing the way for the Messiah, Jesus.
Cousin has two syllables.
John the Baptist prepared the way for the teaching of Jesus and died a martyr for his faith. Jesus said of John the Baptist in Luke 7:28 - "I tell you, among those born of women there is no one greater than John". It was Judas Iscariot who betrayed Jesus (see Luke chapter 22).
