The only 'author' of The Bible is God who used various peoples, via inspiration via His Holy Spirit, to codify the now 66 Books of the Bible (originally 49 books but some were broken out into 2 or more).
Arguably then, according to the 'generations of Adam' (toledoth) and others in his male genealogy via Seth, codified works which were later but in the Torah - or Law - first 5 books of the Bible. As an agrarian society predominantly, then Adam, Seth, ...Jacob... were farmers.
