I think Tobi is the strongest because Tobi gives Pein orders. If Pein really was stronger than Tobi he would of attacked him, and let me remind you that Pein beat the guys who beat up the three sannin. Itachi knew better than to attack Jariah so Itachi is weaker than Jariah and every one who can beat Jariah. Everyone that got defeated is obviously not the strongest in the organization. And since Tobi is Madara, or atleast claims he is Madara, he has the Mangekyo sharingan, and he is immortal since he took his brother's eyes. Thus i believe Tobi/Madara is the strongest. (and Madara did summon the Kyuubi to attack the leaf Village)

Tobi would be the strongest member of the Akatsuki. but he is not at full power yet. the reason he created the Akatsuki is to absorb the power of all nine tailed demons to get the full power of his Sharingan back.which means for know Pain is the most powerful member of the Akatsuki.when it comes to speed and genjutsu Itachi is the best. when it comes to strength and chakra Kisame is the best. when it comes to power and making perfect copies of people Pain is the best. when it comes to finding someone Zetsu is the best. when it comes to Demolition it is Deidara is the best. when it comes to torturing someone Hidan the best. when it comes to greed Kakazu is the best.when it comes to triking people Orochimaru is the best. when it comes to puppet ninjutsu and posion Sasori is the best.Pein is the real leader and also the rest of the rinegan holders because they are the ultimately strong characters.>=D

mandara uchiha cause of hes enternal mangekyo (hes stronger than pain cause in story nine taild at betfen 8-9 tails was complitly unharmed by pains strongest attack and he would ha died if naruto woldent have regaind control (well of course he still died) and fox wasent abele to do anything about mandare when he used him like pet to attack kohona + he fears him) itachi would be second cause of sushanoo pain would be third and 4th konan 5th would be deidara cause of his shown arsenal of jutsus against sasuke 6th kakazu because he can use all 5 elements 7th would be kisame cause of his chakra and chakra eating sword 8th hidan cause of immortality but its not so great cause his body can be destroyed fits is kinda easy because hes dumest of akatski and counts on his immortality too much (he can be lead to trap) or put under genjutsu (like itachi put orochimaru uner enthernal genjutsu by susanoos blade) weakest would be sasori (and akatski members level reaches kages at kakazu)

no...you all need to get a frickin brain check. tobi is first of all is totally not tobi, besides if he was the strongest...why be so cautious. it is probably that he knows someone is stronger. infact, he says it himself..."i have the same power as madara" not "i am madara uchiha" so i know he is not madara. but i will save that for another question. the strongest akatsuki member is...pein/konan/itachi/madara...because madara aka not madara, i wont spoil it...he was almost killed by konan, he was very cautious of pein...meaning he knew pein had some chance at killing him, and he was the one who wanted sasuke...the gulible duck assed haired person...to want revenge on itachi, then konoha...he is using duckie assed uchiha, there for he wanted someone else to get rid of itachi because he either was worried for some reason or he knew he could not do it. remember itachi let sasuke win. if it was madara then itachi would have killed the evil lolipop wearing duck ass using uchiha. also, he wants to kill all the shinobi nations...meaning he is somehow scared of their powers. so he is not the strongest of the akatsuki. there you fudging happy.

The strongest member in the akatsuki is not pein because Tobi/madara is pulling all the strings.zetsu my favorite character is pretty strong but he is not the strongest.It has to be itachi or Tobi but Itachis dead.So if you add it all up its probably Tobi/madara but he is getting old if hes madara isn't he.Or is he obito.probably not.I have just changed this question into another question try to see if you can find out who is Tobi under the mask because I want to know and forget about thinking about who he is.And stop looking on the computer to try to find out.

The Strongest Akatsuki is Tobi(Uchiha Madara). Some people said that Itachi is the strongest but I disagree.
