Simon
Simon, Piggy, and Ralph.
Initially the members of Jack's group are his hunters, which were originally his choir. Over the course of the book Simon, who was originally part of Jack's choir and presumably a hunter seems to have drifted out of Jack's spehre of influence but other boys have drifted into it. By the end of the book only Ralph is excluded from Jack's tribe.
Jack is the only choir boy
Initially there is only one group of boys but right from the start Jack is a dissenting voice. Eventually Jack leaves and forms his own separate tribe. Near the end of the book all the boys with the exception of Ralph, Piggy and Samneric have joined Jack's tribe. Piggy is then killed, Samneric are captured and forced to join the tribe, leaving Ralph as the only boy who isn't a member of the tribe.
no - all the choir boys do... it's their school uniform; a catholic boarding school.
After Jack leaves the meeting stating that he isn't going to play anymore gradually other boys drift away to join him. By the time he throws his feast on the beach most of the biguns have joined his tribe. After the raid on Ralph's camp, and the theft of Piggy's glasses, the only boys who aren't part of Jack's tribe are Ralph, Piggy and the twins. At castle rock Piggy is killed and the twins are captured leaving Ralph as the lone outsider from Jack's tribe.
The irony of Samneric's behavior lies in their initial willingness to join Jack's tribe, betraying Ralph's leadership to ensure their own safety, only to later regret their decision and try to return to Ralph's group when faced with the violence and savagery of Jack's tribe. Their loyalty proves fickle and their inability to make a firm decision ultimately leads to their downfall.
Ralph told him he could be the leader of the choir boys and then he made his own group of only himself until people from Ralph's side went to Jack's side. :)
During the confrontation on the causeway leading to castle rock Jack ordered his tribe to grab Samneric and tie them up. Later Sameric told Ralph that they were made to join the tribe and that Jack and Roger had, "hurt us--"
The Frisco All City Choir is a choir made up of students schooled in the Frisco Independent School District. This choir has performed not ONLY in Frisco but in San Antonio, Plano, and McKinney! They practice every Tuesday together as a group at a Frisco Elementary school . The choir only has 4th and 5th graders in it and holds auditions every year available to every elementary student in Frisco ISD. They are not FAMOUS all though they do have some number of fans. About 300-1000 because they perform in a lot of places around Texas. If you want to join an All City Choir there are various choirs of such around the USA. Their BIG performances are TMEA, and they will soon be singing the national anthem at Texas Legends in February of 2011 at the 22nd. And they usually have minor tours at Frisco Elementary schools. What happens to the 5th graders after one year when they go to 6th grade? They leave the choir so that new kids can join. The choir has a good instructor so the choir is prepared for their performances. look on google for the Frisco All City Choir website to learn more about them!!!
Some people might suggest that it was ironic of Samneric to tell Ralph of Jack's plans for him and then in turn reveal Ralph's hiding place to Jack. However it is clear that in spirit Samneric were never part of Jack's tribe. Along with Piggy they were the last of the biguns who remained loyal to Ralph. They were only on guard duty on castle rock because they had ben captured by Jack's tribe and forced to join it under torture. The next morning it appears that torture was used once more to extract the location of Ralph's planned hiding place from at least one of the twins.
At the meeting in chapter 1 when Roger suggested that they should vote for a leader there were only two candidates; Ralph and Jack. The choir voted for Jack but the rest of the boys, who must have out numbered the choir, voted for Ralph and he was elected as the chief.
