Saint Arnold, originally of Austria, is known as the patron saint of beer. He was a bishop and very prominent in the Church. When he died, the party of travellers carrying his coffin stopped to rest at a tavern and get a drink of beer. They were told, unfortunately that there was only one mug of beer and that they would have to all share it. The mug never emptied and this "miracle" became one of the qualified miracles to make Saint Arnold a cannonized saint. Sorry Answer is 9 letters long it is GAMBRINUS
