No, Jem did not accidentally kill Mr. Ewell in "To Kill a Mockingbird." Mr. Ewell was killed by Boo Radley while he was attacking Jem and Scout.
They were being followed and later attacked by Mr. Bob Ewell, The father of Mayella Ewell. Mr. Ewell intended to kill Jem and Scout but got killed himself. Jem and Scout were rescued by Boo Radley, the mysterious neighbour who never came out.
Boo Radley is protective in the sense that he watches over the children, Jem and Scout, from a distance. He intervenes when they are in danger, such as when he saves them from Bob Ewell's attack. Boo's actions reveal his caring nature and desire to protect those he cares about.
Bob Ewell attacked Jem and Scout in Harper Lee's novel "To Kill a Mockingbird."
Bob Ewell ( Mr. Ewell ) was stabbed in the chest in october. He "Fell" on his own knife. Atticus,Jem,Scout, and the Sheriff [< sorry for my spelling]. they all knew that Boo Radley killed him when Bob Ewell attacked scout and Jem.
Mr. Ewell spits in Atticus's face, threatens him, and later attacks his children, Scout and Jem.

In the last part of the story, Mr. Ewell follows Jem and Scout home when Scout is wearing a Halloween costume. Ewell attacks Jem, but Ewell intends to hurt Scout as payback to Atticus. When Ewell throws Jem about, Jem breaks his arm-- but that is not known until Bo carries Jem to the house and Atticus calls a doctor.
Atticus says that Mr. Ewell fell on his knife and died during the struggle with Jem and Scout in the final confrontation in "To Kill a Mockingbird." He tries to portray it as an accident to protect his children.
Boo never kissed Jem and Scout. he saved them from Mr. Ewell's attack, then left after he was no longer needed.
