Donald Trump represents the Founding Fathers ideal of a government leader. Someone who successfully made his way through life in a normal pursuit and enters government service late in life. Barack Obama is a career politician. His personal demons are public but unfortunately no worse than many others in office. The US Constitution, if followed, provides check and balances to control excesses on public policy. Barack Obama does not follow the spirit of the US Constitution, with constant executive actions, that are overruled in the courts. Obama and Hillary represent career politicians with no (positive) accomplishments out of (or in) office. Obama says "You didn't Build That." While Trumps builds things. Trump mad a fortune in business. Obama made a fortune in government. Why do people call Donald Trump a Thinking Man's Obama? Because he has successes and failures and is bright enough to tell the difference. Beyond elections based on personal and emotional appeal, Obama only has failures. A foreign policy that is a disaster with the Middle East, Europe, Russia, China, the Philippines, Mexico, Venezuela, Cuba, and everywhere else. A domestic policy that had had the slowest recovery since WWII, no growth, doubling the national debt and ObamaCare (the Unaffordable Healthcare Plan). He has increased distrust of the Federal Government at all levels, both domestic and international, politicized government agencies (Dept of Justice, IRS, FBI, DoD, NSA, etc.) far beyond that of even Richard Nixon who left office in disgrace. Most of all this Post Racial President has increased racial tensions. Perhaps it is not that Donald Trump that is the Thinking Man's Obama; it's everyone else is more honest and thoughtful that Barack Obama. Perhaps Barack Obama is the non-thinking Donald Trump

Untestable questions would include the following: If in the 1960 US Presidential elections Richard Nixon had won instead of John F. Kennedy, would Nixon also have been assassinated as Kennedy was? Would Nixon have been as successful in resolving the Cuban Missile Crisis? Would American astronauts still have landed on the moon? Would the US be better or worse off today? This is not testable because there is no way of causing the elections to have worked out differently, or to recreate the world of 1960 in order to run an experiment of that type. We can speculate about these questions but we cannot actually test them.
When the Presidential election begins what can we do to turn the GOP Voters away from Trump and more towards the Democratic Nominee?
The vast majority of the GOP is in complete agreement that no mater how horrible they find Donald Trump to be, that they see Hillary Clinton as just as bad if not worse. Getting Republicans to vote for Hillary Clinton is simply not going to happen under those conditions; she has an established identity and political history that is inimical to what Republicans want. If you want to guarantee victory for the Democrats in November, time and energy should be spent on the #NeverTrump Movement among US Conservatives. While they are not voting for Clinton, they are effectively lessening Trump's margins of victory and may be the small loss in votes necessary to turn purple states Democrat.
Is Richard Nixon one of the worst president in America?
No. The Watergate Scandal is typically what we remember about Nixon, and this was undoubtedly a terrible act. However, Nixon had a number of important accomplishments during his presidency that deserve some credit, such as... going on a diplomatic mission to China, something that his predecessors would not do, started diplomacy with the Soviet Union, relieving some Cold War tensions, ended the Vietnam War, ended peacetime draft, set up Council on Environmental Quality, and the list goes on. Nixon certainly had his failures, too. However, if not for the Watergate Scandal, he might be regarded as a very good or even great president.
