What really happened was in book 10 you find out the truth!It wasn't any part of the Cahill family, it was really the vespers who set the fire. The vespers are not part of the Cahill family (none of the branches). They are other people who found out about the clues and started looking for them. Amy and dan's father is a vesper!
Also Isabel was a Vesper too! You have to know her last name before she married Vikram Kabra. Her maiden name was: Isabel Vesper-Hollingsworth.
