What battle led to the French becoming allies with the colonists?

During the American Revolution, the battle that led to active
support from France for the Americans occurred at Saratoga in 1777.
Actually a series of battles around that town, Saratoga provided
the French with confidence that the American cause was worthy of
their support, and they responded with a formal alliance, military
aid, and material support of other kinds.

How did Vietnam gain its independence from France?

In a nutshell, Ho Chi Ming led an independence movement against
the French, using insurgent tactics to gain victories. He also
gained a lot of support from the people as they were tired of
French rule. Ho Chi Ming won a stunning victory at Dien Ben Phu
and, although the French were better armed and equipped, they still
failed to hold onto their colony. They came to terms with Ho Chi
Ming and left Vietnam.

What country helped the US to gain independence?

FRANCE. After the Colonists won the Battle of Saratoga, the
French agreed to support them, gave them money, soldiers, and
weapons. In the Battle of Yorktown, the French Navy fought off the
British Navy trying to reinforce the English garrison that was
surrounded by Colonial and French soldiers led by General (later
President) George Washington. If it was not for France, the USA
would probably still be a colony of England.
