The land of Nod is where Cain was exiled to. Biblical text indicates that Nod was East of the garden of Eden Genesis 4:16. The word nod is from the Hebrew word 5113, pronounced Nowad and it means vagrancy, its from Hebrew word 5112 which nowd which means exile. Both are from the base root of Hebrew word 5110 with is pronounced nurd, which means to waver or wander, flee or disappear, it also means to shake the head in sympathy, to console, to deplore, or from tossing the head in scorn.

The question was who lived in the land of Nod. This question is based upon common misunderstanding that Adam or more correctly ethhaadam was the father of all men. This simply is not how the text reads and is a direct result of incorrect intrepretation of biblical text by so called scholars. There were two distinct and different creation events which occurred.

1) The first occurred on the 6th day where all races of men and women were created in the flesh for this earth age, that is defined in Genesis 1:26 and 27, and the earth age event is defined in 2nd Peter chapter 3

2) The forming of Adam did not occur until after the 7th day of rest. That account is defined in Genesis chapter 2 starting with verse 5 where we learn the Lord God had not caused it to rain upon the earth and there was not a man to till the ground. The Lord Formed Adam or ethhaadam in verse 7 of chapter 2. Adam is defined by its Hebrew meaning 119 and 120 to blush or turn rosy, to show blood in the face. This is and identification feature of the family and genealogy of ethhaadam. This is the very reason that circumcision was given to Abraham to be preformed on the 8th day. The 8th day was the beginning of the second week or 7 days. We learn form 2nd Peter chapter 3 that one day is as a thousand years, therefore a week is 7000 years. We have come foreword since Adam ethhaadam nearly 6000 years. We are now on the 6th day which will encompass the appearance of Satan as the anti-christ.

The question was asked because its author incorrectly assumed that all people came from the man eth ha adam (Adam). That simply is not true and biblical text does not support that assumption as fact.

The people living in the land of Nod were vagabonds of the 6th day creation. Cain, the son of Satan, went to live there after killing Able. Documentation that Cain is the son of Satan is found in John chapter 8:42-47, where Christ identifies him while speaking to his offspring (the Kenite), who were attempting to entrap Christ in Hebrew law, so they could order his death.

Genesis 4:, defines where Cain lived and his genealogy. Make note that Adam (eth ha adam) is not given in the genealogy of Cain (Genesis 4). Adam's genealogy is given in Genesis chapter 5, and Luke chapter 3. There is no mention of Cain (Qayin) in Adam's genealogy. Therefore, cain is not of "eth ha adam" (Adam), he is from the serpent as Christ identified him to be in John chapter 8. The serpent beguiled Eve in Genesis chapter 3. The serpent was the tree or the knowledge of good and evil which our Father ordered Adam and Even not to touch.
