My records indicate that the Marlin model 30D was a slide action shotgun available in either 16 gauge or 20 gauge,that was made from 1910-1914.The D grade was the highest level of finish available.
Yep, Miroku makes very good guns. They currently make the Browning Citori line of guns and have made guns under other names also.
Not the Belgian guns. The frames were a different size. There were some guns made in Japan that had the same frame

Pachmayr did not make guns, they made stocks and grips.
A variety of manufacturers made guns that were sold under the Western-Field label or brand.
He/They made shotguns as follows: 10 gauge 12 gauge 16 gauge 20 gauge 28 gauge .410 bore It is entirely possible that they may have made a couple examples that were 8 gauge or even 4 gauge, particularly as double rifles. They also may have made a few 14 gauge, 15 gauge and 24 gauge guns in their history. (obscure gauges from the 19th century for the former two, an obscure early 20th century gauge for the latter)
