Scion cars are built by Toyota, in Japan. The xA is known as an 'Ist' in Japan, and the xB is known as the 'bB'. Both the xA and xB have been on the road in Japan since around 2000. The tC is also built 100% in Japan, but is currently only sold in the US. They are built in a single factory in an area known as Toyota City, located in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, Japan. They are put on a boat, and shipped to the port of Portland, Oregon, then transported by train to distribution lots, then by truck to your local dealership.
