Who made Tempo riding mowers
Most Sears Craftsman lawnmowers were made by American Yard Products which has become part of Husqvarna. Some were also made by MTD and Murray.
MTD makes yardman riding mowers. Their mission is to passionately create mowers to beautify homes and gardens all over the world.
Sears. Craftsman is Sears' store brand of products.
Sears sells them but they are made by various manufacturers under the craftsman name, depending on the year and model.
MTD
The answer is AYP or ElectroluxHome Products. although Husqvarna owns AYP. You can usually use or cross reference parts from husqvarna mowers. Or just go to sears.

When Murray was dissolved, Briggs & Stratton took over most remaining assets. Actual manufacture of Murray components (except for engines) is contracted out to various suppliers. Most are made by the AYP division (makes Sears/Craftsman, also) of Electrolux and considered a part of their Husqvarna division.
Well it sure ain't Craftsman- Sears farms out all their products- many of them are Poulan- Next time someone should do their homework
John Deere riding mowers are made by Deere & Company themselves...produced for the last number of years in Horicon, Wisconsin, USA.
