Depending on which cover one buys, the Extang Tonneau covers support many different trucks. For instance, the classic Tonneau cover supports many Ford, Nissan, and GMC trucks while the Solid Fold cover supports the Honda Ridgeline and a few Dodge trucks.
It really depends on the cover. Some covers are just designed for a specific bed size and are even a bit adjustable, usually soft style tonneau covers like Access makes, so if the bed size of the Ranger and F150 are the same, then something like this would work. Other tonneau covers are specifically designed for the truck, usually hard style covers like Fold-a-Cover makes, mount differently on different trucks so even if the truck bed was the same size this style wouldn't work.

The easiest way is to simply use the heel of your foot to kick the springs off the anchors, work boots work best but sneakers will also do. Once the cover is free, use a friend, stand at opposite sides of the shallow end and fold the cover onto itself using the horizontal strap lines as fold-guides. then once it is folded, roll it up, and it should fit right into your cover bag

If you measure the rail width and if its the same 6ft or 8ft truck bed you know the le nth is the same as long as the top of bed is flat like your o2 i dont see a problem try putting your clamps under bed rail to makr sure width is same on top of bed app 4 in.
