It was recommended that the Portuguese Water Dog is generally a breed that doesn't cause problems for people with allergies, and then-Senator Ted Kennedy of Massachusetts bought one for the family. They named the dog Bo, and by all reports, he has not aggravated Malia's allergies at all.
