There is no known story of the Trojan War. The Iliad, an epic poem attributed to Homer 'the blind poet of Chios' covers a few weeks of the war. Other parts are contributed in The Oddessy (also attributed to Homer), Virgil's Aenead (another 700 years later), classical tragedies, plus a myriad of minor sources.

But as Zeus the head of the gods had strictly told them gods and goddess not to help in the war. But the goddess Athene requested the god Zeus , to let them guide them only. Odysseus is known to us only as a character in the Greek epic poems Iliad and Odyssey, which tell the story of the Trojan War and its aftermath. Scholars are not in agreement over whether the Trojan War was an actual historical event, but if it was, archaeological evidence and cultural references in the poems themselves seem to indicate a date sometime in the 1200's B.C.
It would if it was genuine, but it couldn't be. The story of the Trojan War grew up as a growing wide variety of stories sung by the bards over 500 years. Every bard had his own different version, So a written piece would be only one of hundreds of versions. There is thus no original stoy/history. And of course the story would need hundreds of pieces of pottery. The piece would be a curiosity.

A myth is a fictional story made up to explain things about which nothing is known - eg the Creation Myth. A legend is a traditional story believed to be true. History is an analysis of evidence which attempts of produce a factual account. Obviously the Trojan War is legend. From the bardic material available, it seems that there was a decade of concerted piratical raiding by the Greek peoples of the coast of what is now called Turkey. At the end of it, when the coast had been thoroughly pillaged, a trading city called Troy (or Ilium) was captured and destroyed. The story made popular telling around the fires at night at a time when there was no television.
Hector did not survive the war, he was killed by Achilles. Technically, Aeneas was the only Trojan male member of the royal family to survive. All of the sons of Priam, as well as Priam himself, we killed.
