Nathan Hale said it
Nathan Hale was the one that famously said "I only regret that I have but one life to lose for my country" right before the British hung him.
"I only regret that I have but one life to give my country."
Nathan Hale-just before he was hung
Those were the last words of patriot Nathan Hale before his execution as a spy during the American Revolution.(Classically it was "I regret that I have but one life to give for my country" while other versions suggest "I only regret that I have but one life to lose for my country.")
Nathan Hale said "I regret that I only have one life to give for my country" during the American Revolutionary war, just before the British hung him.Nathan Hale
Nathan Hale, an American patriot and soldier in the American Revolution is supposed to have said, as he was being hung by the British for being a spy, "I only regret that I have but one life to give for my country!"
Yes he was. His final words said before he died was, " I only regret that I have but one life to give to my country." :)
well it was "I only regret that I have but one life to lose for my country" but it was Nathan Hale and he was about to get hanged when he said that.
It was said by Nathan Hale he was to be hung for teason and those were his last words it means that if he could he would give his life for his country again
The quote is from Nathan Hale - "I only regret that I have but one life to lose for my country."
Nathan HaleP.S.Hope this helps.-very much so and Nathan Hale is the character from Resistence fall of man (ps3)Nathan Hale...originally before the people that made Resistance: Fall of Man.....was a American Rebel Spy during the American Revolutionary War who was hung by the British. He, before he was hung, said basically as his last words....."I only regret that I have but one life to give for my country".There are debates in which the quote is questioned to have been originally spoken to have said "lose" instead of "give"....in which is was written into a book that way.
