Extremely close friends and it helps (them especially) if you demonstrate it for them.

I did and sometimes you don't want that kind of attention from certain people. It can go ugly really fast. That is why we just stay away from the population. If people knew that I could control aspects of their minds to the extent( a friend caught me doing it while I wasn't paying attention I was young and researching it and was confused as to how it works so yeah I would talk about it with some people (changed my science teachers view of the world as well as some people my age at the time (15 16 17 and about in his 30s)

( still am I want to be able to use it in any mood but its like art your mind needs to be nimble and quick really quick). If you have demonstrated it for your self and are reasonably certain you are sane, then it is your decision and it can destroy people that kind of knownledge I know why now it tends to be brushed under the rug.

If you are skeptical, so what, if you are a ledgitamate skeptic now, well your lucky from the stand point of some people I knew.. yes knew.

If you are certain you aren't looseing it, then you need to figure out how to not lose it in most cases people go insane, everything every one says impacts you no matter how thick skinned you are. If some one says you or that person (who is like you and you know it as fact) says something disheartening like he is a liar a cheat or plain evil. You will see that in your self, not (at least not always) as if you are really. We are social creatures, hell even hamsters hate being abused in any way by another hamster and it effects it on many levels.

It is in out nature but not in our soul. Get it kinda sorta? This kind of talk works best face to face but I thought I would help out.

You need to reach out to people like your self and if you can't you can become very isolated... sometimes its good. Othertimes it is bad.

Being psychic is extremely complicated for people who actually have done it when you do happen to luck out and rotate a dime on your desk with your mind that instant it is all understood then boom its gone. Monks get this kind of flash of insight when they are meditateing and reflecting and then its either gone completely or they remember enough to beable to try again.

Yes there is a direct science (although superflous) behind this just as there is everything else heck even the quantum foam and superposition lol just jokeing a bit I love physics.

Watch what the bleep do we know, some people say its whatever they think it is but if you look past them alot of scientists some in the movie (yes they are ledgit yes even in the media to lol) others world wide agree with the theories and proven experiments that have been done but challenge that deep set (on the subconscious level) rank of beliefs that impact their preception of those findings. Like the double slit experiment being impacted by simple observation showing that we superimpose our existence on the universe not always the other way around.

Now some say its because of the methoids involved in the observation but that isn't the case so clever are some to think hey they(the people who did it look it up its out there somewhere) accounted for that and knew it didn't matter.

Bias effects the universe, which is why, faith in your self is key to understanding the universe. Sorry, preception is sometimes a reality... hummmmmmmm (of cource they are crazy as well as a 12 year old seeing a UFO and meeting aliens at age 15 and through that seeing key details described in only a few yes a few alien abductions he never knew existed.

And how his preception wasn't warped in anyway by it other than the adverse imput of new information that challenged his understanding. Then in referance to dreams, this doesn't compare because he knows his dreams can't mimic reality sounds smells and details that where never known before just as normal experience is concerned.

If you don't believe in spirits just because you never saw one, you probably either ignored them because you are biased in the way your mind is wired up and how it was taught. Or you just don't know yet.

Every town and city has at least one paranormal research group; you should start by looking up who is local to you, and if they can't help you directly, they can likely point you in the right direction.
