Are shutter shades hard to see through?

They are like looking through a vent, as i own one half shutter shade and one full shutter shade, the lines are like looking through a vent. they need some adjusting to, but are simple to see through, but challenging to look down, you have to move your whole head, but i wont advise them for driving though. To get them, go to a claires in a mall, or just buy them on Amazon they sell like 6 pairs for 5 bucks or somthing
