People who believe that we can accomplish more collectively than we can as individuals in many instances, and realize that a strong central government is absolutely necessary to protect our civil liberties. People who believe in "government by the people and for the people" rather than regarding government as the deadly enemy. Generally, people who have more education and who are more sensitive to the plight of others. People whose basic belief system assumes that people are generally good and that the universe is a friendly place.
