Yehoshua, or Joshua, succeeded Moshe as leader of the Jewish people.
Moses
In the Bible Joshua took over Moses' job by leading the Israelites after Moses died.
Moses is the Hebrew leader who received the Ten Commandments from God on Mount Sinai according to the Bible.
No, Moses died peacefully, when God took him (see Deuteronomy 34).
Joshua served under Moses: He was a leader of the Israelites in battle (Exodus 17) and with Moses when he received the 10 Commandments atop the mountain. (Exodus 32) He was the son of Nun (Numbers 11) and was one of only two -out of ten- men sent in to examine the Promised Land who came back with a favorable report. (Numbers 13) He was appointed by God to succeed Moses as leader of the Israelites (Numbers 27).
joshua
Actually moses does not put his foot in the promised land. It was Joshua who took over from Moses , who lead the people to Canaan.
Joshua was the next leader and God allowed Joshua to lead theIsraelite's into the land of Promise Joshua Chap 1: 1-3 Now after the death of Moses the servant of the LORD it came to pass, that the LORD spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' minister, saying, Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel. Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.
Aaron
Joshua the son of Hun took over as leader of the Jews after Moses died.
He took over from Moses and successfully led the Israelites to occupy the Chosen Land.
Initially God ruled over Israel invisibly through Moses and and the 'Older Men', and then using human Judges(Othniel to Samson). (Judges 8:23; 1Samuel 12:12) The Israelites, however, cried out for a king, to be like the nations around them, so God allowed it and chose Saul. (1Samuel 8:5-8, 19)
