The Boston Tea Party was to show the American's disagreement to the taxation of tea. However, it was actually a misunderstanding. It took place after the Tea Act was passed. The Tea Act stated that all taxes on tea, the only remaining tax, shall be removed. However, because of all the acts before, colonists thought this was another act to make them miserable.
