Jesus reference as the "Son of Man means the His ancestry (genealogy) can be traced back to Abraham in Matthew 1:1-17 and that he was born of the virgin Mary in Matthew 1:18-25. These are reference to Jesus humanity.
Matthew and Luke
Luke's Gospel traces the lineage back to Adam.
The gospel author who traces Jesus' lineage back to Adam is Luke, in the Gospel of Luke chapter 3.
Abraham
In one sense Jesus' life began when he was conceived by the Holy Spirit in the womb of his mother Mary. But in a far larger sense, his life had no beginning. Jesus Christ, the Word who was with God and was God, has always existed. John 1:1-14. Matthew and Luke traced Jesus' human lineage in different ways. Matthew traces Jesus' genealogy through his foster father, Joseph, back to Abraham. Luke on the other hand, is believed to have traced Jesus lineage through Mary, his mother, back to Adam. According to biblical legend, all Jews are descended from Abraham, and Jesus was a Jew. The Gospels of Mathew and of Luke provide two different genealogies of Jesus, going back through his father Joseph and King David to Abraham, but neither places Jesus, or at least Joseph, as a direct descendant of Moses.
