No-one, as far as I know! I think perhaps you mean 'abdicated'. This means that a monarch gives up his or her right to the throne, standing down in favour of someone else. Edward VIII did this because he wanted to marry Wallis Simpson, a divorcee. According to the Constitution, he could not do this and remain king, so he chose to abdicate.
King Edward VIII of the United Kingdom was born on June 23, 1894.
Following the death of Henry VIII, his son, Edward, succeeded him as Edward IV.
Please don't be offended if I correct your wording. Edward VIII abdicated (not abducted) the throne in order to marry Wallis Warfield Simpson, an American divorcee. Edward's brother then became King George VI. King George and his queen, Elizabeth, were the parents of the current Queen Elizabeth II.
There have been 11 King Edwards. Edward the Elder, Edward the Martyr, Edward the Confessor and Edward I - Edward VIII.
Edward. He was born with the first name Edward, and chose this at his regal-name.
His first-born, King/Emperor Edward VIII. He abdicated less than a year later, so King George's second-born, King/Emperor George VI, took the throne.
