the deliver of Hebrew slaves
This was Moses.
Moses did not "find" the ten commmandments, God gave them to him on two tablets of stone.
Dr. Robert L. Moses is not found but there is a Dr. Robert P. Moses. He is married to Dr. Janet Moses and lives in Boston, MA. Together, they have 4 children.
Into the desert for 40 years. Moses was trying to lead the newly freed Jews to the promised land. Moses himself died before getting there.
Faith in God's power, not his own. Well, OK. Whatever. But Moses didn't get that assignment until he was 80.
"And you (Moses) shalt speak to him (Aaron), and put the words (of God) in his mouth; and I (God) will be with your mouth, and with his mouth, and will teach you what to do" (Exodus 4:15).
Moses fled from Egypt as a felon because he murdered an Egyptian. Long before the burning bush, Moses knew that he was chosen by God to deliver the Israelites from the bondage of the Egyptians. He tried it his way, by murdering an Egyptian, and not God's way, thereby extending their wait for deliverance another 40 years. See: Acts 7:25 "For he supposed his brethren would have understood how that God by his hand would deliver them: but they understood not."

Why did Moses go to Pharaoh? Because God told him to do it. God told Muhammad to deliver the final message to all people. www.freequran.org
Moses in Hebrew is moshe (משה) which which is most likely derived from Egyptian mes meaning "son", but could also possibly mean "deliver" in Hebrew. Note: The meaning suggested in the Bible, "drew out" from Hebrew משה (mashah) is probably an invented etymology.
Aaron (notice the spelling) was Moses' older brother. Moses had a stutter, sowhen there was a message to deliver to Pharaoh in Egypt, Moses and Aaronvisited him together, and Aaron did the talking. Later, after the Exodus andduring the sojourn in the desert, Aaron was the first High Priest of Israel.Neither Moses nor Aaron ever set foot in the Promised Land during either oftheir lifetimes.
